A history spanning more than a century
The Finzi-Segre law firm was founded in the first decade of the 1900s by Samuele Segre (25 January 1881 – 12 July 1975), a lawyer born into an old Vercelli family who made a name for himself as an honorary judge.
His nephew, Aldo Finzi (Milan 1897-1945), who also graduated from the Accademia di Santa Cecilia and became a well-known composer, joined the firm. However, he died prematurely due to the vicissitudes of war
Aldo Finzi is listed in the Famedio del Cimitero Monumentale di Milano (Hall of Fame of the Monumental Cemetery of Milan).
Mr Segre practised law until his death at the age of 94.
Aldo Finzi's son, Bruno Finzi (Milan, 2 August 1925), trained with his great-uncle after graduating in Milan in 1952. He also became a solicitor and practised until 2020, at the age of 95. Both Mr Segre and Mr Bruno Finzi, now over 100 years old but still passionate about law and interested in the firm, received the gold medal from the Milan Bar Association for 50 years of professional activity, which both have now far exceeded.
The firm, which has been located in Ca' Bruta in Milan since the 1930s, was later joined by Bruno Finzi's sons: Paolo Finzi (born in 1962) and his brother Aldo Massimo Finzi (born in 1963), as well as Carlo Comerio (born in 1972).
The experience gained and handed down over time allows the firm to deal with a wide range of issues, both in and out of court, at all levels of jurisdiction, as all members are Cassation lawyers. Synergies with external colleagues, where necessary, and a privileged and empathetic relationship with clients enable the firm to provide rapid, accurate and timely assistance.
